Rebecca Crenshaw is finding ways to deal with the suicide of her grandmother, Suzanne Bradbury. Suzanne was battling an aggressive form of cancer when she shot herself while Rebecca was visiting her San Diego home. In the aftermath of the tragedy, Rebecca says it’s helpful to discuss the incident with friends and members of online support groups.

Pat worked for years as an industrial electrician before losing her job. She said it was because of her age. Now 61, and with physical limitations, she is no longer able to work. That has contributed to her current situation, being homeless on the streets of Baytown.

Ahime Ornelas was born in Mexico, but she has lived in Baytown with her family since she was about 6 years old. After her parents became U.S. citizens, they put their daughters on the path to citizenship as well. It was a long road, but Ahime finally became a citizen in her early 20s. Now as a school assistant principal, she is mindful of the challenges that some young Dreamers are facing.

Love was strong for murdered mom, daughters

Keith Dick happens to be the nephew of Paul Revere from the 1960s-1970s music group, Paul Revere and the Raiders. Paul Revere died in 2014, but Keith has fond memories of spending time with his famous uncle and watching him perform.

While Keith was a big rock and roll fan, his father and grandmother weren’t quite on the same wavelength.

After caring for patients for many years as a nurse, Ralph Zamarron still has a strong desire to help people. One way he is doing that is through Reiki therapy. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.
