YouTube videos are his form of therapy

On his YouTube channel, Roberto Carrasco produces videos that he hopes helps other people.

“I started making YouTube videos about five years ago. The biggest reason was to help remind people that they’re never alone. No matter what they’re going through, they can count on me and others to always be there to support them.

“I’ve gone through a lot in my life, and I’ve made videos that have touched on a lot of different topics. Some have been very emotional and very difficult for me to do. I’ll receive negative comments sometimes but most people are very supportive, especially when the topic is something they had to deal with as well. I’ve always felt that if it helps others, then it’s worth talking about.

“I remember one time I was watching Oprah’s show and she was crying because her dog had passed away. It was like a really big deal for her. People were asking her if she needed to go to therapy, but she said her show was her therapy. I kind of feel the same way about my YouTube channel.

“I’ve never had real therapy, but making these videos and interacting with people who watch them is how I channel my feelings. I get to reflect on where I’ve been and where I’m going in my life, and lot of people are on this journey with me. We’re all kind of in it together.”
