David Berkowitz launched The Baytown Project in 2014 to shine a light on everyday people in the community he has called home since 1983.
An Illinois native, David has been writing since his college days at Western Illinois University. He worked at daily newspapers for 10 years, and spent 24 years in communications and public affairs at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
While David develops the majority of content for The Baytown Project, he is open to others in the greater Baytown area who would like to contribute. Anyone interested in writing and/or photography can contact him at baytownproject@gmail.com.
