Inspired by Humans of New York, David Berkowitz launched The Baytown Project in 2014 to shine a light on the community he has called home since 1983.
David draws on more than 40 years of experience as a writer. He worked at daily newspapers for 10 years in several states, primarily as a sports writer and editor. He then spent 24 years doing communications and public affairs work at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
While David develops the majority of content for The Baytown Project, he is open to others in the greater Baytown area who would like to contribute. Anyone interested in writing and/or photography can contact him at baytownproject@gmail.com.
