From taking care of grounds to enjoying grandkids

Goose Creek Country Club closed its doors earlier in the year.

“I worked at the country club for a little over 30 years. I started as a grounds person, worked myself up to assistant superintendent, and then supervisor was my last position.

“The closing was sad. I knew a lot of people there. I was working right up until the end. I was trying to hang on until I turned 66. I nearly made it; I’m 65. Now, she and I hang around a lot and get to spend time with our grandkids.”
