She still has faith in Goose Creek CISD
“I was a stay-at-home mom and home-schooled my kids for nine years. When we put them into public school, I decided to certify to teach. I’ve been teaching school in Baytown now for nine years.”
What’s your opinion about the current issues within Goose Creek CISD?
“I’m definitely concerned because we see a lot of good people leaving. The lack of respect that some of our employees are getting is a little concerning, too. I still believe in Goose Creek. Despite what’s going on now, I feel that the majority of our teachers will be focused on going in every day and doing what’s best for our students. I believe that with all my heart. And I believe the district can rise out of this. Even with our superintendent, Dr. Cavazos, I think we can rise through this if everyone can work together. So I have a lot of hope.”
