Despite the heat and bugs, Texas grows on her
“I’m a florist by trade. Now I just do stuff for friends. It’s nice to be able to do something for somebody.”
“I didn’t like Texas at all when I came here. I don’t know, it was just hot and buggy and different. At first I didn’t really think the people were very friendly.
“Since I’ve been here, though, I have to say we’ve made some good friends and people are warmer if you just give them a chance. I think if you smile first, that sends a message and they’ll smile back.”
