Manager misses the days of just fixing stuff

As his T-shirt shows, he’s a fan of the TV show, “Duck Dynasty.”
“I work at a local fleet company, maintaining all kinds of equipment and vehicles. I don’t even turn wrenches anymore; I just manage.
“It was a lot easier when I was fixing cars instead of all the managerial issues. Trying to find and keep good people is always a challenge. Finding them is the hardest part right now. A lot of people would rather sit at a desk and work on a computer. While money is important to keeping them, you have to give them a good work atmosphere or they won’t stay, regardless of what you pay them. Overall, you just have to treat people well, like you want to be treated.”
