‘I’m looking to settle down into a more normal life’

“Because of all the moving around I’ve been doing, I just want to be at home.”

“I just came back from out of town. For six years now, I’ve worked for companies that provide fresh air and other safety equipment and services for shutdown projects at industrial plants. I’ve moved from job to job all over Texas, Louisiana and Kansas. We work long hours for as many days as needed to get the job done.

“But I’m tired of it … all the moving around with no security. You’re always getting laid off. You have to wait for another job to come up, or go jump to another company. They don’t offer any benefits if you’re a casual employee, like me. And there’s no point in buying a house since you’re always on the move.

“I’m looking to settle down into a more normal life. I’m hoping to return to college to go into billing and coding. I’ve read where you can get contracts from privately owned doctor’s offices to work from home. Staying in one place for a while sounds pretty good to me.”
