LVN student gets hands-on experience at home
With a couple family members who are RNs, she always wanted to become a nurse.
“Going to school, working and paying the bills can be challenging, but it helps that I live with my sister and niece. Actually, we all live together in my grandma’s house.
“Now that she’s sick with COPD, emphysema and all that bad stuff from smoking, I’m getting a lot of hands-on experience helping take care of her. I’m studying to become a licensed vocational nurse, so it’s good practice.”
