Home-schooling kids pretty easy decision

After two girls, she is pregnant with a son.

“I went through public schools and I had many issues with it, one being that I used to be made fun of a lot. Like, it wasn’t cool to be smart. On top of that, I wasn’t really challenged.

“So home-schooling my kids was a pretty easy choice. They learn a lot like I do, more of the hands-on, dive-in kind of thing. Like, what do you want to learn about today? Oh, you want to learn about butterflies? Let’s go outside and do that.

“Also in public school, you’re stuck in a group with children your own age and that’s it. Regardless if you like that person or not, you’ve got to deal with them, which as adults I understand we have to do. But in this way, they’re able to make friends with people of all ages.

“We go to the park, to museums, and my kids have no problem making friends. My 5-year-old can play really well with a 2-year-old and she can play really well with a 9-year-old. I feel it’s a little more like real life.”
