‘You’ve got to live each day to the fullest’

Woman stands in her garage

She deals with bad days by always trying to move forward with a positive attitude.

“I’ll be 69 in September. As long as I’m physically and mentally healthy, I’m going to continue working.

“I remember when people used to hit retirement age, it meant you quit work and sat in a rocking chair. I’m not going to do that. I can’t sit idle. It’s kind of like that old George Jones song, ‘I Don’t Need Your Rockin’ Chair.’ He’s not ready to quit. He wants to still go on stage and perform. That’s how I feel.

“The age process is something that you can’t really control, but you can control your attitude toward life. You’ve got to live each day to the fullest.”
