Operating B&B is part of their retirement plan
One of their adventures together was doing mission work in Panama for several years.
“We’re not retired yet, but we’re working at it. We’re formulating the plan. Part of that plan is a small bed and breakfast that we own where we live in South Carolina. It’s a wonderful adventure. It’s also a ton of work, but you meet great people.
“The biggest piece for me is keeping the 4½ acres in good shape. She takes care of the rooms and makes sure the guests have everything they need.
“At some point we plan to sell it and move between our two kids and their families in Baytown and Colorado. Right now, we’re thinking that will be around Kansas City. Retirement is sounding better every day.”
