‘I know you don’t need drugs to have fun’
“We just had the last day of school. It’s all right, but it kind of sucks. I kind of like school. I like the friends there. I don’t like to be alone. I don’t know how to really socialize outside of school. It’s easier at school when you’re around people your own age.”
Do you have a core group of friends?
“I move from group to group, but I don’t really hang out with them outside of school. I know some of them do drugs, and I really don’t want to do that. The peer pressure is kind of hard, but I keep myself out of it. If they offer something to me, I just walk away or don’t talk to them at all.
“It’s hard when you get close to friends and then they try to offer you something. I just know you don’t need drugs to have fun, to have a good time.”
