‘All I ever wanted was to be a mom’

“She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Now we’d like to have a boy.
“When I was younger, all I ever wanted was to be a mom. But I wanted to be different from my mom. She wasn’t, and isn’t, a very good mom in my eyes.
“My biggest goal was to be able to have kids, love them, treat them how they should be treated and just make them happy. I just wanted to be different from my mom.
“I still have a relationship with her, but it’s one of those reverse relationships where I’m more of the mom and she’s more of the kid.”
