Mom supports sons’ decisions to join military

Mom also is proud of her daughter for winning Miss West Chambers County in her age division in Old River-Winfree on Founders Day.

“Both of my older boys are joining the military this summer. The one in college is going into the Reserve and the other one is going into the Army for a three-year term.

“I guess I feel more at ease about my son going into the Reserve versus my child wanting to do it full time because you never really know what’s going to happen in the world. This whole ISIS thing, it’s kind of scary. Who knows what’s next.

“But we support them. It’s what they want to do. Both of them feel like if they’re called to go into any situations, they’ll be ready. They’re kind of excited about the whole thing.”
