Not missing the father he doesn’t really know

Osman Iriando at the park

Osman Iriando works as a plumber for an apartment complex.

“I’m from Honduras. I came to the United States in 2004. Over there, I have no family. Here, my father, he’s in Colorado but I don’t really know him. When he got my mother pregnant, he left. I met him only two times, when I was 6 and 10 years old.”

Are you mad at him for leaving and not being part of your life?
“It’s OK. My grandma says, God takes care of it. Things work out the way they are supposed to.”
