Urban exploration ‘a cool adrenaline rush’

Three guys at abandoned hospital

These guys are ready to explore the abandoned San Jacinto Hospital in Baytown.

(Center) “It’s called urban exploration. It’s a pretty big thing right now. We take photos and video of what we find and then share it for others to see. I’ve been exploring Houston for a year and a half now. I’ve been on top of almost all the buildings downtown.”

(Left) “We recently got into an old abandoned 15-story medical building in Galveston. We saw some pretty creepy stuff, like Satanic graffiti and weird pictures on the walls.”

(Right) “It’s nerve-wracking because you don’t really know what you’re getting into at some points. But it’s exciting.”

Have you ever run into trouble?
(Center) “Security guys at a few places have taken down my name and phone number. I’m always anticipating someone coming up to me and telling me to get down. But I don’t mean any harm. I just explore and take pictures. It’s a cool adrenaline rush.”
