He does best when maintaining structured life

This 28-year-old engineer says he always colors inside the lines.

“Growing up, I was very detail oriented. Now it’s a trait that’s beneficial in my work, and it also keeps me pretty structured in my life.”

Have you ever veered from that path?
“Well, before my fiancé, I was dating another young lady who was very high maintenance. That’s where I didn’t pay attention to details and really put myself in a bind with my credit. I was getting credit cards and buying her things but not actually paying for them. There’s an old saying, ‘You make one dollar but you spend two.’ That’s what I was doing.”

Does your fiancé know about this?
“Oh, yeah. I came out with everything saying, ‘Look, I know you’re interested in having a future with me but I want to let you know that my credit isn’t too good right now.’ I’m working on building it back up, and she has stuck by my side.”
