Artistic talents seem to run in his family

Matthew Kimball is a student at University of Houston.
“When I was in kindergarten I took art classes every Friday with my grandmother. In second grade I wrote an essay saying that I wanted to either become an artist or a professional soccer player. Now I’m studying to be an art teacher. I think it would be really fun and inspiring.
“I guess being artistic runs in the family. My dad owns a body shop, but he’s good at drawing and does some painting, too. I also have an uncle who’s a draftsman.
“I’ve done a lot of silk screening, making T-shirts for people, and I’m really into drawing. That’s my favorite thing.”
