She believes rescue animals ‘deserve a fair chance’

Suzie Tilton Marbach began adopting animals after watching “101 Dalmatians” when she was young.

“My sister and I like to rescue animals. We just pick them up or people give them to us. The last cat I had was found in a wall at work. She was about two days old and her eyes weren’t even open yet. I raised her off a bottle. I’ve got a little poodle mix now that I found, and in the past I’ve picked up a chow pup, a lab pup, a heeler … I try to find homes for as many as I can.”

Why do you do it?
“These animals deserve a fair chance. People dump them. They need a life. The thing about it is, when they become our animals they also get fixed. We don’t need to produce any more. We just take care of the ones that aren’t taken care of.”
