Mentor sets great example for college student
“My college mentor is pretty cool. I want to be like her. Years ago when she got her bachelor’s degree and then her master’s, she was able to keep a 4.0 GPA, and I think that’s great. Mine’s not there quite yet, but I’m working on it. I’m a chemistry major, so the courses are pretty challenging.”
What makes your mentor so special?
“She still remembers the struggles that she went through in high school and college, so she tries to help me as much as she can. If I’m going through things, she understands. She’s always motivating me and just wants me to do well in school and in life. Having her be so successful and supportive is one more reason to be a good student, because I want her to know that I’m doing well.”
