He grooved to Bread, Seals and Crofts in the ’70s

Jack Hall is in his 30th year as “the music guy” at Second Baptist Church in Baytown.
“People who know me through church may be a little surprised to learn that my favorite group growing up was Bread. I think I really liked them because their harmonies were always so tight. I also liked Seals and Crofts.
“That’s the kind of music I grew up listening to, things that were a little bit more harmonically driven than the rock and roll music of the ‘70s.
“I also was in a couple of gospel groups that nobody would know about now. Of course, I’ve always enjoyed church music.”
