Victim of bullying believes in ‘being yourself’

Abby Gough smiling“I was homeschooled but I joined a youth group when I was about 12, and kids were not very nice to me.

“I’ve always been a little different, and people have noticed that. So I understand that feeling of standing out. But it means nothing to me because we’re all here for one purpose, and that’s to bring our own color to the world.

“My advice to any bullied kids is to just keep doing what you’re doing and be yourself. It may seem like hell at the time, but once it’s over and people finally start appreciating you for who you are, it’s very rewarding.”
