As a teacher, she hopes to positively influence kids
“I want to be a teacher. I’ve always enjoyed kids, and I want to make a difference in the world. When they’re young, I think it’s the best time to be able to have a big influence on them.”
What was school like for you growing up?
“I was homeschooled with my mom from kindergarten through sixth grade, and then I went to two different private schools and graduated from Sterling High School.”
How might that experience impact you as a teacher?
“I think I’ll be a little bit more understanding toward the younger kids. Having my mom there with me all the time when I was home was a huge help. But I understand that some kids probably aren’t as fortunate to have that kind of support.”
