“I started to study nursing in college, but I quickly realized that I didn’t like the blood.”

What are you studying instead?
“Accounting. It was a logical choice because my mom owns her own tax business. It was originally my grandmother’s. After she passed away from cancer, my mother took it over.

“I went to work with her a lot through the years, observing and helping. So it’s something that I’m familiar with and comfortable with. I like the idea of being able to help people with their financial issues.”

“I have to catch him before he’s out the door. We’ve been doing this for more than 30 years, but nobody else was interested in continuing with the family business.”

Do you plan to go to work with your mom?
“Maybe after I get an internship. That’s my plan.”

“No problem. He can do an internship with me. He’s going to take it over one day.”
