“About a year and a half into this I thought, you know, I met the girl who has everything I want. Of course I still had to do some vetting in my head, but she seemed to qualify.

“I have four children from a previous marriage, two older ones and two younger ones. I had to make sure they were going to be OK with me sharing time with somebody other than them, and I had to make sure that she wasn’t going to be asking for more time from me than what I had to give.

“It was just a matter of time before I knew, this will be perfect. She has been more than accommodating to any of their needs. She’s just a really good mom.”

“And if you had asked me three years ago to make a list of who my type was and who I was going to marry, it wasn’t him. It wasn’t someone 10 years older than me who lives in Baytown, has four children and is recently divorced. But it turned out that he’s actually more than I ever could have asked for or ever knew I wanted. I’m so glad I didn’t go with my type, because I really feel like he’s my soulmate.

“His children are a priority, and that’s important to me. I don’t have children. I’ve always wanted children, so this is my chance to experience that through him. I’m lucky they allowed me into their family.”
