Native New Yorker adjusts to Texas culture

Carol Grevenberg says that she does not miss the New York winters.

“I lived in New York, the city and suburban area, until I met my husband. His sister worked in the same department as I did. He used to come in and she introduced us once. A year later, we were married. We lived together in New York for years. When we both retired, we decided to move back to Texas where he’s from.”

Was it a big adjustment for you?
“It was a pretty big culture change. But I just looked at it as a new, interesting experience in my life. After almost 12 years down here, I think I’ve adjusted pretty well.”
