Teacher follows in his family’s footsteps

Royce Moyer, junior high science teacher for 22 years; sister, Sharon Moyer, high school biology teacher for 27 years; and mother, Edna Moyer, PE teacher and coach (retired) for more than 30 years.
“When I was in third grade and we ran out of classrooms, we had to have class on the stage behind the curtain. I thought that was so cool. I guess I knew right then that I wanted to be a teacher.”

“Yeah, whatever she did, I ended up doing. She went to A&M. I went to A&M. She became a teacher. I became a teacher. Plus, you grow up getting the summers off. So when you get older, who wants to go to work and not get the summers off?”
