Second marriage perfect match for elderly couple
“We’ve been married for 37 years, I believe. This is our second go-round. Our other ones died.
“One of the girls I used to ride the school bus with back in the ‘30s and ‘40s told her that I’d lost my wife and that she might be able to snatch me up. So she called me one Friday night. Long story short, I told her I was chairman of the Exxon Club and we had a dance on Saturday. That’s how we met. We dated for two or three years and then finally decided, well, it’s about time to just go ahead and get married.”
“I had been single about five years, but I knew a good man when I met him.”
“I married an older woman. She just turned 90. She’s got me by three months and one day.”
