‘Positive thoughts can’t solve all your problems’

“I’m struggling right now, trying to find a job. I can work. I’ve had different types of jobs, but I went to school to be a medical biller. I had an internship for a month, but they require more than that experience to get a real job in the field. I’m looking for somebody to give me a chance.

“Because of my situation, I’m having to live in a shelter with my two young kids. I never dreamed of having to be in a place like this. It’s not a healthy environment for them. I guess as long as they don’t have to sleep on the streets, it’s OK for right now.

“I’m trying to cope with it, but it’s very difficult. A lot of people tell me not to worry so much about it, to think positive. Shoot, your positive thoughts cannot solve all your problems when you have so many negative thoughts. If I could only break through.”
