Father carves out quality time with his sons
Edwin Valdez enjoys an evening at a park with his sons, Edwin Jr., Melvin and Tristan.
“I’m an insulator in the refineries. I just work 40 hours a week, so I’m not able to make overtime. But that lets me come home early and bring my kids to the park to enjoy. We usually play basketball or walk around for an hour, and then we go to the library for an hour.
“Spending time with my family is important. I try to teach them right. They’re good kids.”
