‘We are raising them to be good people’

“My kids are everything to me. Same for my husband. He is not their biological father, but he treats them as if they were his own.
“We are raising them to be good people: kind, caring, understanding of others and, most of all, intelligent. We implemented a program this summer that limits their screen time. It includes chores, art, reading, Spanish lessons and at least one hour of outside play.
“I know that I send my kids out in the world for other people to deal with, and I want that to be a good experience for both sides.”
