Brothers grow up while away from home
“We do get confused for being twins. More often than you might think. When we walk into a water park or wherever, people see us and think we’re twins right off the bat. I guess it’s kind of funny but, actually, we’re a little bit sick of hearing it.”
Besides their looks, they also have hockey in common. They learned to play while growing up in New England and continued on travel hockey teams after the family moved to Austin.
“We both got recruited to go play in New England. I play club hockey at Connecticut College. I’m going to be a sophomore. I’m studying biology. I want to go to vet school.”
“And I play at a prep school, Tilton School, in New Hampshire. I’ll be a senior. It was an adjustment, living away from home at a young age, being away from the parents and my other siblings for most of the year. But over time you develop friends and you look to teachers to help you through all that.”
“I felt like we were pretty mature to begin with. Being away from home just kind of helped solidify us being responsible for our own selves.”
