Greek, Roman architecture ‘appealing to the eye’

Lee College student Gabriel Dye“I play a lot of video games. Since I already had that passion, I thought it might be pretty cool to make them. So I decided to study video game design.

“But now I’m thinking about changing. The market is kind of hard to get into and make money right now. Plus I discovered that coding is really boring. Having to put in lines and lines of code, I’m just not feeling it.

“I’m thinking about changing to architecture. I’ve always appreciated the design of buildings and seeing how they’re made. When I think of art and I see a building, I relate to it so much. I want to make something like that. I’ve always liked really old-school buildings like Greek and Roman architecture; just the beauty of it. Everything about it was meant to be appealing to the eye.”

If you could go see one building in the world, what would it be?
“Probably the Roman Pantheon. Mostly because it’s a historic building and it’s beautiful. And going to Rome doesn’t sound too bad, either.”
