‘We’re pretty much married, just without the paper’
“We’ve been together five years. We’ve been engaged two years.”
What’s your wedding plan?
“We don’t really have one. I mean, it’s just paper. We’re pretty much married now, just without the paper.”
Do you tell people you’re engaged?
“Yeah. But I’m starting to think we should just say we’re married. I don’t know. There’s kind of that common law thing going on.”
Getting any pressure to make it legal?
“Not really. I kind of want to do something more official for my family because I know they would appreciate it. But I think it’s kind of like a thing nowadays. Not a lot of young people are getting married or having kids. But they’re still together. I guess that’s us right now.”
