Dog booties the answer for Ozzy
Adopted from a shelter by a University of Texas student, Ozzy stayed with the young man’s parents when he went overseas for work. The move became permanent. “It is unspoken, but Ozzy is ours!”
“We had some remodeling done in the spring. Since my allergies seem to be getting worse, I wanted the carpet replaced with wooden floors. It was a concern how Ozzy (recovering from surgery) would manage.
“Whether he is on the carpet or the wood floors, we have to lift him up under his hind legs to get him started. Our concern was traction.”
Dog booties seem to be the answer.
“What a surefooted item they have been. We continue to help him get up occasionally, but I feel relieved for his safety.”
