Big Jake sits anywhere he wants

“I was the runt of the litter.”
— Jake, a Harlequin Great Dane

“The mom had 13 puppies, but only three lived. He weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces when we got him at eight weeks. He was way, way under weight, but he caught up quickly. Now he weighs 200 pounds.

“He’s real laid-back. He’s lazy, and he watches TV like a person. It’s not even like having a dog. He doesn’t know he’s a dog. I tell people he’s a person in a dog’s body.”

Where does he stay?
“Anywhere he wants. He gets his pick. If he wants to sit where you’re sitting, he comes and stares at you. He kind of runs the household.”
