“When I was younger, I had some uncles who got into a lot of trouble and were incarcerated. The prisons would allow them to draw on envelopes and stuff like that. So I grew up watching those envelopes come through the mail with all sorts of drawings on them.
“One day I decided that I would try to draw, too, and I never lost the passion for it. At age 32, I’ve actually accomplished something. I’ve manifested myself into a professional artist, and it’s all starting to open up for me.
“I don’t believe there’s anything in the world that I can’t draw. If I can see it, I can recreate it. I’m self-taught, but I’ve become really well rounded. I’ve been able to dive into so many types of art, from acrylic painting, to oil painting, to graphite, ink, air brushing, you name it. Wherever my heart takes me, that’s where I go.”
