Second time around for college student
“For a while I wanted to be a chef. But then I decided there are better ways for me to make a lot more money.”
“Right now I’m trying to finish school at Lee College. I’m going back after not completing my first degree at Sam Houston State.
“I was planning to be a teacher, but I took time off and worked. I’ve been doing restaurant work since then, mostly as a cook in Houston.
“Now I’m trying to get a certificate or science degree to help prepare me for refinery work. I’m looking forward to making the kind of salary that comes with that.”
