
“Right now I’m trying to finish school at Lee College. I’m going back after not completing my first degree at Sam Houston State.
“I was planning to be a teacher, but I took time off and worked. I’ve been doing restaurant work since then, mostly as a cook in Houston.
“Now I’m trying to get a certificate or science degree to help prepare me for refinery work. I’m looking forward to making the kind of salary that comes with that.”
