Turkey transplant long way from home, family
He is the IT director for a Turkish production plant in Baytown.
“We moved here from Turkey. We didn’t have any idea what living here would be like. All we really knew about America was what we saw on the news.
“I find that the people are more relaxed here. Also, the purchasing power is greater. We can buy more things with our money.
“We have everything we want, actually. Everything except our parents. They’re still back in Turkey. We miss them. I miss my family.”
