Common law relationship not so easy to explain

After meeting at a bar six years ago, Issac and Rosa are still together raising three young children.

“We’re together. I guess you could say common law. We met at a bar. It’s been six years, but it seems like a long time ago. It’s been a blur, but here we are.”

Why do you work well as a couple?
“Maybe our outlook on life. I don’t know. It’s hard to really pinpoint. There’s no particular reason why two people stay close. It’s not as simple as, ‘I like that she wears yellow shirts’ or ‘She makes really good pies.’ People ask that question, ‘Why do you like that person?’ Sometimes it just happens. Chance. You know what I mean?”
